Overview
This policy explains what information Findelle ("Findelle", "we", "us") collects when you use our website and products (Monitor and Reputation), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to findelle.ai and the Findelle dashboard.
We built Findelle to help businesses understand how AI platforms talk about them — not to build a profile on you to sell. The short version: we collect what we need to run your scans and your account, we don’t sell your data, and we tell you plainly below who else touches it and why.
Information we collect
We collect information in a few different ways, depending on how you use Findelle:
- Account information — name, email address, and password when you sign up. Authentication is handled by Supabase; we never store your password in plain text.
- Business information — the domain, business name, or other details you submit for a free scan or connect to your dashboard (Monitor, Reputation). If you tell us you don’t have a website, we don’t ask for one.
- Billing information — when you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled directly by Stripe. Findelle never sees or stores your full card number; we only receive confirmation of the subscription and its status.
- Scan and usage data — the questions we run against AI platforms on your behalf, the responses they return, and the resulting scores, citations, and fix recommendations shown in your dashboard.
- Communications — anything you send us directly, such as a support email or a message through the contact form.
How we generate your AI visibility report
The core of Findelle is asking AI platforms the kinds of questions your potential customers would ask, then recording what they say. To do this, we send business-related queries (built from the information you gave us, like your business name and category) to third-party AI providers — OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini and Google AI Overviews), and Perplexity — and store their responses to build your report.
These providers process the queries under their own privacy and data-use terms. We only send what’s needed to run the check (e.g. "does ChatGPT recommend [business] for [category] in [location]"), not your account credentials or billing details.
How we use your information
- To run the free scan or scheduled scans you’ve set up, and to show you the results.
- To create and maintain your account, and to authenticate you when you sign in.
- To process payments and manage your subscription through Stripe.
- To send account, billing, and product emails — for example scan digests or a reply to a support request — through Resend.
- To run scheduled background jobs (like weekly rechecks) via Inngest.
- To respond when you contact us, and to improve the accuracy of Findelle’s checks and fix recommendations.
Cookies
Findelle uses only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and your session secure — set by Supabase authentication. We do not currently run any advertising or analytics tracking scripts on findelle.ai or in the dashboard. If that changes, we’ll update this section before it does.
Who we share data with
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only with the service providers that make Findelle work, and only as much as each one needs to do its job:
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Resend — transactional and account email delivery.
- Inngest — scheduling background jobs like scans and digests.
- OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Perplexity — the AI platforms your scan questions are sent to, as described above.
Data security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and it lives on vetted infrastructure — the same providers listed above, all of whom maintain their own security and compliance programs. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we design Findelle to minimize what we collect and to protect what we hold.
Data retention
We keep your account and scan data for as long as your account is active, so your dashboard and history stay intact. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we’ll remove or anonymize it within a reasonable time, except where we’re required to keep records (for example, billing records Stripe retains for tax and compliance purposes).
Your rights and choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing us — see Contact us below. You can also cancel your subscription the same way (see the Terms of Service for how billing and cancellation work).
Children’s privacy
Findelle is a business tool and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we’ll remove it.
International users
Findelle is operated from the United States, and the service providers listed above may process data in the United States or other countries where they operate. By using Findelle, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Findelle evolves — for example, if we add a new service provider or feature that changes what data we collect. We’ll update the "last updated" date above when we do. If a change is significant, we’ll do our best to let existing customers know by email.
